About Us
Henllys Estate is a a beautiful grade 2 listed Bed and Breakfast on the edge of the Brecon Beacons, dating back to the late 16th century. One of the Estate buildings, within a stone walled courtyard, has been tastefully converted into bed and breakfast accommodation. Each of the 5 rooms is en-suite with a television, tea and coffee making facilities and access to the garden and views across the Towy valley. We are Tamar, Nancy and Leila, three generations of women who moved here from London in 2022, to make a new slower life for ourselves in the Welsh hills.
We offer a warm welcome and enjoy sharing our small holding with our guests. We have 30 acres of grounds to explore including a lake, nature reserve and ancient woodland. we have sheep and chickens so there is interest for the whole family. The views from our top field are beautiful.
I offer a continental breakfast with home made muffins, often blueberry but in late summer I will use blackberries from our hedgerows. With some notice I can cater for most dietary preferences. Just let us know what you need. Come and enjoy a wonderful memorable weekend in Wales!
We also now accept 1 well behaved dog on a lead at Henllys Estate for guests who are staying with us in Room 4 a twin room, although we do remind our visitors that we have free range chickens in the garden and sheep and lambs in nearby fields!
By car we are only 5 minutes from Llandovery, 10 minutes from the Brecon Beacons National Park and less than 1 hour from the coast. Llandovery is 2 miles away and thats an easy half hour walk, or 10 minute cycle. There is undercover space to park bikes out of the weather.
